Mission: - to promote an environment free from all forms of violence and humiliation, where the victim is not blamed for the rape, incest or any other violence; - no one wants to be raped, no one deserves it, the victim never provokes the violence;Syostry work in the atmosphere of trust and confidentiality. The workers of the center share the philosophy which does not accept racism, sexism, homophobia, any prejudice towards women.Syostry are committed to accept all survivors of violence, value them and not to judge them. Syostry help all survivors of violence and rape, especially those who find it difficult to find help anywhere else, and whom society traditionally reject: lesbians, women with HIV/AIDS, prostitutes, alcoholics and drug addicts.This help is free and anonymous.Programs:1. Help to rape survivors, hotline, consultations by a psychologist, medical and legal consultations.2. Educational programs: self-defense training, publication of literature, organization of training and conferences for workers of crisis centers.3. Sociological research, calls analysis, social surveys.4. Collection of information about crisis cervices and promotion of networking between them. |
